This integrated case has as its focus estimating the financial requirements and evaluating alternative means of financing in a strategic context. In particular, the case integrates the following elements: (1) diagnostic study of the reasons for financial decline of an auto component company that has diversified into chemicals, (2) estimating the financial requirements, and (3) financial and qualitative evaluation of different financing alternatives.
