Abstract
The case deals with the problem of introducing a job evaluation scheme in large organizations. While the trade union cooperated in the study of various jobs and in the evaluation of the scheme, the scheme itself had to be abandoned because of the opposition from workers. The case describes the response of both the management and the union in introducing new managerial concepts.
