Abstract
Arya.ag, an agri-tech platform, intended to democratise the post-harvest space and transform the lives of small farmers by activating warehouses at the farm gate for storage of commodities, enabling seamless finance against these stored commodities and connecting the same with buyers across the country. The company onboarded over 12,000 warehouses across several locations in India on their integrated platform, Arya.ag. The company further connected the farmer producer organisations to traders and buyers. This case discusses the dilemma concerning the business model of this intervention, namely, the pipeline versus the platform, encouraging readers to come up with the most suitable alternative.
