Abstract
The case describes the processing capacities available with the cooperative society the expected arrival pattern in the area. There are considerable variations in the monthly arrival pattern. The cost of canning freezing are also given. The case can be used to answer the following questions: 1) matching the processing capacities with the arrival pattern; 2) selling fish as canned fish or frozen fish; 3) the minimum price level at which the society should permit private parties to buy fish; 4) desirability of postponing sales by providing cold storage facilities.
