Abstract

It is increasingly being realized that the problems of dry region development need urgent attention if the widening regional imbalance and consequent immunization have to be contained, nay reversed. The note focuses on the issues which deserve priority in research in the eighties. The socio-ecological framework has been presented to identify an agenda for research.
