Abstract
This case is second case of a series of cases which deal with entire process of doing marketing research. Each case in the series describes sequentially different stages in a typical marketing research project. Case (B) is on selection of research design which is a typically second stage in marketing research project. A group of MBA students have undertaken a marketing research study to examine the effectiveness of product placements. Group members need to decide on the research design to execute the research. They have to select one out of three options - quantitative survey, focus goups or in-depth interviews.
